What it is like
A tree. It grows to 20 m high. The leaves have stalks. The leaves are 4.5-18 cm long by 2-6 cm wide. They are sword shaped but wider at the base. The tip is pointed and it also narrows to the base. The flowers are yellow.
Where it is found
A subtropical plant. In Nepal it grows between 1200-1800 m altitude. It grows in wet forest areas.

The inner bark is mixed with flour to bake bread to improve the taste.
