What it is like
A medium sized tree without hairs. The branches and small branches are brownish and usually smooth. The leaves are opposite and without leaf stalks. They are oblong and like leather. The leaf veins are about 20 and distinct. They are spreading and slightly curved. The flower cluster is at the end of branches and with many flowers. The flowers are purple and all have distinct stalk like structures. The fruit are scarlet red or purple.

A tropical plant. They are found throughout the Philippines.
