What it is like
A small trailing herb. The leaves have stalks. They are alternate. The leaves have a leafy structure near the base. Leaflets are almost without stalks and are oval. They taper to the tip and have fine teeth. They have a white hairy layer underneath. The flowers have stalks and bracts. They are pink. The fruit are black when ripe. Possibly now Rubus niveus Thung.
Where it is found
In Nepal it grows between 2100-2900 m altitude. It grows in moist, shady places.

The ripe fruit are eaten fresh. They are also used for jam.
