What it is like
A tree. It grows about 4.5 m high. It has a spreading crown. It spreads 4.5 m wide. The stems are dark brown and waxy. The leaves are waxy and 5-10 cm long and have teeth along the edge. They leaves taper to a fine point. The flowers are pink and 35 mm wide. They grow as 3 to 5 flowers in a cluster. The fruit are 12 mm wide and yellow.
There are about 35 Malus species and very many cultivated varieties.

It is a temperate plant. It suits hardiness zones 4-9.
