What it is like
A tree. It grows 2-10 m tall. It is flat topped. The bark is grey and smooth but flaking. The leaves have 3-4 pairs of leaflets. They are 7-13 cm long by 3-6 cm wide. The petals are white. The fruit are pods 5-11 cm long by 2-4 cm wide. They have a brown covering. The seeds are about 1.5 cm wide.

It is a tropical plant. It grows in deciduous woodland. It is in areas with a rainfall between 875-1,125 mm of rain each year. It grows between 1,000-1,600 m altitude.
