What it is like
A shrub. It grows attached to other plants. It grows 4 m tall. The branches are angled. The leaves are oblong and 13-20 cm long by 5-10 cm wide. The base is rounded and it tapers to the tip. The flowering shoots have 8-10 flowers. The fruit is about 1 cm across.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in the humid eastern Andes between 1,600-3,000 m above sea level.
