What it is like

A herb. It grows 10 cm tall. It keeps growing from year to year. There are several stems. They are creeping and can be 2 m long and partly buried. The nodes are 2-7 cm apart and these form roots. The leaves are erect and broadly oval. They are 2-3 cm long by 2-6 cm wide. They are fleshy and with lobes spread out like fingers on a hand.


Where it is found

It is a temperate plant. It grows on open sandy beaches near sea level.
