What it is like
A climber. The leaves are entire and heart shaped at the base and taper to the tip. They are 8 cm long by 9 cm wide. The flowers are large and pink to purple. They occur as 1 or 2 together. The fruit is a capsule 2 cm across. The seeds have long hairs.
There are about 500 Ipomoea species.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. It grows in moist deciduous forests.
