What it is like
A herb with a woody rootstock. It can be a shrub up to 1.3 m tall. It has a silvery coating on the stems. The leaves have 3-10 leaflets. These are 25 mm long by 20 mm wide. The pods are 3 cm long and 2 mm wide. There are up to 12 seeds.
