What it is like
A medium sized tree. It grows to 25 m high. The trunk can be 90 cm across. Often there are no branches until 15 m up. The leaves are compound There are 5-7 pairs of opposite leaflets and one at the end. The leaflets are 7-15 cm long by 2.5-4 cm wide. Trees are separately male and female. The fruit are 3 cm long by 2 cm wide and 1.5 cm thick. There is one seed.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. It grows in lowlands up to 550 m altitude. It grows in dense forest.
