What it is like

An evergreen shrub. It lies along the ground. It grows 3-5 m high. The small branches are angular and covered with brown scales. The leaves are oval and vary in shape and size. They can be 2-12 cm long by 2-7 cm wide. They taper to a point and have a round base. The leave are silvery underneath. The flowers are in clusters and tube shaped. They are 10 mm long by 3 mm wide. There are 4 lobes at the top. The fruit are narrowly oval and 2 cm long. They are red and have light brown scales.


Where it is found

It is a subtropical plant. It grows in central and western China. It grows in valley forests between 500-1,800 m above sea level. In Yunnan.
