What it is like
A herb. It grows 36 cm tall. It has an underground stem or rhizome 2-5 cm long and 1.4-4.5 cm thick. There are 4-8 roots. They are 40 cm long by 2-8 cm wide. There are 6-12 flowers in a group 5-12 cm long.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows between 900-2,600 m above sea level.
