What it is like
A large tree with a low spreading crown. The leaves are alternate and more pale green underneath. Leaves are near the ends of branches. The flower cluster is very slender and up to 12 cm long with white flowers. The fruit are borne on thickened fruit stalks and are yellowish to red.
There are about 360 Elaeocarpus species mostly in the tropics.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. They are found throughout the Philippines.
