What it is like

A shrub or small tree. It grows 5 m high. The bark is yellowish to grey. It peels off in papery flakes. The small branches have furrows along them. The leaves have 5-13 leaflets along the stalk. The leaflets are 1-4 cm long by 1-2 cm wide. The male flowers are in heads of 4-9 flowers. The female flowers occur singly or in small clusters. They are red. The fruit are oval and 11-20 mm long by 9-15 mm wide. They have a stone 7-10 mm long by 7-9 mm wide.
