What it is like
A herb. It is erect and grows for one or two years. The stems often have a red tinge. It grows 10-60 cm tall. The leaves are narrowly oval and 1-13 cm long by 1-3 cm wide. The flowers petals are yellow.
Where it is found
It is a tropical and subtropical plant. It grows in wet places such as rice paddies and flood plains from near sea level to 800 m above sea level in southern China. It grows in wetlands. In Yunnan.
