What it is like
A medium sized tree. It grows 15 m high. It spreads about 15 m wide. The leaves are oval to sword shaped. They are made up of 15 to 19 leaflets. The leaves are 30 cm long. The fruit are round and 25 mm across. They are covered with fine hairs.
There are about 30 Juglans species. All species bear edible nuts.

It is a warm temperate plant. It grows naturally in California in the USA. It suits hardiness zones 8-10. Arboretum Tasmania.
