What it is like
A small shrub. It grows 2 m tall. The branches are spiny. The leaves are towards the tip of the small branches. They are clumped together. The leaves are 1-3 cm long and oval. The flowers are greenish white and have a scent. They are 12 mm long by 10 mm wide. They are funnel shaped. The fruit is round and purple and 6-8 mm across.
Where it is found
It is a subtropical plant. It grows in open slopes and amongst rocks and up to 2,000 m above sea level.
