What it is like

A medium sized tree. It grows 10-12 m tall. It can have simple spines 2-3 cm long. The leaves are large and oblong. Young leaves are purplish. Flowers are in groups of 4-8 in the axils of leaves. The fruit is an oval berry. It is 2 cm high. It contains 20 seeds which are angular and 6-8 mm long.
