What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It grows 2-7 m tall. The trunk is 8-12 mm across. The young stems are 4 sided. The leaves are narrowly oval and 9-17 cm long by 3-8 cm wide. They tape to the tips and are rounded or wedge shaped at the base.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in the cloud forest between 2,200-3,200 m above sea level.
