What it is like
A pumpkin family herb. The stems are 5 sided. They grow 20-25 m long. The leaves are heart shaped. The flowers are white and bell shaped. The fruit are oval and pointed at the tip. The fruit are green and have spines but they are not sharp. (It is like choko.) The seeds are flat and almost round and 5 cm long.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in the forest and on steep slopes and near streams. It has been recorded at 1,250 m above sea level.
