What it is like

A herb. It grows each year from seed. It grows 30-100 cm tall. It has many branches and they have some grey hairs. The leaves have 3 lobes that are unequal. The leaves are 1-4 cm long by 2-3 cm wide. They are grey-green underneath. The flowers are tube shaped and violet.

There are over 200 Nepeta species.


Where it is found

It grows in subtropical and temperate places. It grows on the edges of forests and along valleys between 500-2,700 m above sea level.
