What it is like
An annual herb. It grows 15-45 cm tall. The leaves are 5-10 cm long by 2-4 cm wide. The flowers occur singly in the axils of leaves. The fruit is a berry 10 mm across and orange. The seeds are 2 mm long.
There are about 75-100 Physalis species.
Where it is found
In Nepal it grows up to about 600 m altitude. It grows in open places.
