What it is like

A shrub or small tree. The branches can be erect or spreading. The leaves are broadly oval and rounded at the base. The leaves are wavy and there are teeth along the edge. The are 5-8 cm long by 2-3 cm wide. They are smooth on both surfaces. There are many flowers in a group at the ends of branches. The fruit are pear shaped and 1-2 cm across. The nut has 4 cells. There is one seed in each cell.

These were in the Sparrmanniaceae and the Tiliaceae.
