What it is like
A herb. The stems are erect and 30-150 cm long. The leaves are 80 cm long. The blades are narrow and taper at the base. There are many flattened flowers in a group 6-7 cm long.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It has been recorded at 3,600 m above sea level in Colombia.
