What it is like
An erect herb. It grows to 1.5 m high. The leaves have short stalks. They are opposite and 2.5-12 cm long by 0.8-3 cm wide. They are oval to sword shaped. The flowers are white-purple. They occur in flat topped groups at the ends of branches. The fruit are 4 angled.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. In Nepal, plants grow to 1100 m altitude.
