What it is like
A coral fern. It has branching, creeping rhizomes or underground stems. These have hairs and scales. The stalks are erect and narrow. The fronds are slender and branching.
There are about 10-12 Gleichenia species. They occur in tropical Asia and the Pacific.

A tropical plant. They need light moist soil in a shady position.
