What it is like
A shrub. It grows 4 m tall. The bark is pale grey. The small branches are greyish-white with hairs near the tips. The leaves are almost without stalks. They are often crowded on short shoots. The leaves are broadly oval to sword shaped and 1-4 cm long by 1 cm wide. The flowers occur singly. They have a scent. They appear before the leaves. The fruit is a flattened round shape and 5-10 mm long. The seeds are flat and 5 mm long.
It is used in Somalia against TB.
