What it is like

A shrub or small tree. It grows 5 m high. The crown is dense and round. The bark is grey and rough. The leaves are broadly oval and dark green. They are almost round and have a rough surface. The flowers are white. The fruit are oval and have ridges. They are 2.5-5 cm long. They are on long curved stalks.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. In Kenya it grows from sea level to 1,300 m altitude.
