What it is like

A tree. It grows 12 m tall. The trunk is 15 cm long. The leaves are simple and opposite. The flowers are in groups in the axils of leaves and near the ends of branches. The flowers are 4 cm across. They are white to pink. The fruit is 2.5 cm across and green and fleshy.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. It grows in undisturbed mixed dipterocarp forest. It is along rivers and on sandy and clayey soils. It can be up to 300 m above sea level.
