What it is like

A cactus. It grows attached to other plants. It is climbing. The stems can be 1 m long and 87-15 cm wide. They are flat with a few aerial roots. The flowers are 10-12 cm long. Flowers open at night. The fruit are oval and 6 cm long by 5 cm wide. There are spines 1-2 cm long. They are dark green. There are black seeds 2 mm long by 1.5 mm wide.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. In Mexico it grows between 700-800 m above sea level.
