What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It grows 1-6 m tall. The trunk is 30 cm across. The leaves are 9-22 cm long by 3-12 cm wide. The flowers are white. The fruit are oval and rough. They are 5-6 cm long by 4-5 cm wide. There are several seeds. They are kidney and 5-6 mm long by 7 mm wide.

It is a tropical plant. In Townsville palmetum. It grows from sea level to 550 m above sea level. It is an understorey tree in monsoon forest
