What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It grows 8-20 m tall. The trunk is 30 cm across. The bark is greyish red and peels off in strips. Young stems have ridges along them. The leaves are opposite and 6 cm long. The fruit are fleshy and 7-8 mm long by 3-5 mm wide. The seeds are black or dark blue.
