What it is like
A herb. It grows each year from seed. The stems are erect. It grows 20-70 cm tall. It is branched at the base. The leaves are oval or triangle shaped. It is 2-4 cm long by 2-3 cm wide. The base can be sword shaped or heart shaped. The flowers can be at the ends of the shoots or in the axils of leaves. The seeds are triangle shaped.
Where it is found
It grows on grassy slopes and wet valleys. In central China it grows between 300-3,400 m above sea level. In Yunnan and Sichuan.
