What it is like
A tree. It grows 11-18 m tall. The branches are stout and have a rusty coating. The leaves are alternate. The leaves are 13-32 cm long by 3-10 cm wide. The male flowers are in the axils of leaves. The fruit are 4 cm long by 2 cm wide.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in the lowlands as well as in upland forests between 100-1,700 m above sea level.
