What it is like

A shrub. It lies along the ground. It can be 6-15 m long. The leaves are 5-9 cm long by 3-4 cm wide. The flowers are in the axils of the leaves. They are white or greenish. The fruit are round and red and 5 mm across.

Also put in the family Myrsinaceae.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. It southern China it grows in mixed forests between 200-900 m above sea level. It grows in Yunnan in China.
