What it is like
A grass. The culms can be erect or bent at the base. It grows 40-140 cm tall. There are 2-4 nodes. The leaf blade is 5-25 cm long by 1 cm wide.
Where it is found
It is a temperate plant. It grows on mountain slopes at about 2,600 m above sea level in China. In Sichuan and Yunnan.
