What it is like
A shrub. It grows 3 m tall. The branches are brown and have prickles. The leaves have 5 leaflets that are oblong and 3-8 cm long by 2-3 cm wide. There are hairs underneath. The flowers are in a group at the end of branches. The fruit are 8 mm across and round and black when ripe.
Where it is found
It is a temperate plant. It grows on mountain slopes between 1,300-3,500 m above sea level. In Yunnan.
