What it is like
A tree. It grows up to 20-30 m tall. The small branches have a few small hairs. The leaf stalks are 3-8 cm long. They are swollen at the ends. The leaves are lighter green underneath. The leaves are 10-20 cm long by 5-9 cm wide. The fruit is oval and 2 cm long.
There are about 360 Elaeocarpus species mostly in the tropics.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. It grows in evergreen forests between 300 and 1400 m in Southern China. In XTBG Yunnan.
