What it is like

The branches are spiny The leaves are silvery and widely sword shaped. They are 3 cm long by 1 cm wide. The flowers are yellow. They occur as 1-3 together in the axils of leaves. The flowers are bell shaped. They are 7-8 mm long by 3-4 mm wide. The fruit are fleshy with a stone inside. They are 10 mm across. They are dark red and shiny.


Where it is found

It is a temperate plant. In Kazakhstan it grows in alluvial plains.
