What it is like

An evergreen shrub. It grows 3 m tall. Young branches have dense rusty hairs. The leave are oval and 5-7 cm long by 1-2 cm wide. They have yellow scales underneath. The flowers occur in groups of 2-5. They are nodding and light brown. The fruit are oval and 1.2 cm long by 0.4 cm wide.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. It grows on open mountain slopes between 1,900-2,600 m above sea level. In Yunnan.
