What it is like
An erect herb. It grows 30 cm tall. It keeps growing from year to year. It has a white woolly covering. The leaves are clustered at the base of the stem. The leaves are 5-10 cm long by 1-3 cm wide. The flowers are white, purple or blue.
Where it is found
It is a subtropical plant. In the Himalayas it grows in drier areas between 1,500-3,000 m above sea level. It needs to be in a sunny position. It suits hardiness zone 6-9.
