What it is like
A small shrub. It grows 50 cm tall and has a stout root stock. The branches are 12-45 cm long. The leaves are opposite or alternate and 5-10 cm long by 4-5 cm wide. The fruit are 4 cm long by 2.5 cm wide. They have 4 broad papery wings.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows between 200-1,500 m above sea level.
