What it is like

An erect shrub. It grows 60-100 cm high. The branches are hairy. The leaves have 3 leaflets. The leaflets are 2.5 cm long by 1.8 cm wide. They are oval. They are very hairy underneath. The flower are in groups in the axils of the upper portions of the branches. These are 2.5-3.8 cm long. The fruit is 6.5 mm long. It has silky hairs.

There are about 100 Lespedeza species.


Where it is found

It is a temperate plant. It grows on rocky mountain slopes below 1300 m altitude in northern China.
