What it is like

A medium sized evergreen tree. It grows to 14-15 m high. The trunk is 30-50 cm across. The fruit are on the branches but not the stem. The fruit are yellow when ripe.

Eating too many fruit can stop urine flow. There are about 80 Baccaurea species.


Where it is found

A tropical plant. They grow in evergreen, broad-leaved tropical forest below 900 m altitude.
