What it is like
A small tree. It loses its leaves during the year. It grows 5-18 m high. The small branches are smooth and the second year;s grwoth is pale-yellow. The leaves are narrowly sword shaped and 3-5 cm long by 1-3 cm wide.
Where it is found
It is a temperate plant. It grows along rivers between 2,000-2,600 m above sea level.
