What it is like
An evergreen shrub or tree. It grows 15 m tall. The leaves are oval and 20-50 cm long by 10-13 cm wide. They are leathery. The fruit is oval and 13-15 cm long. There are 40-80 mature carpels.
Where it is found
It is a subtropical plant. In southern China it grows between 800-1,500 m above sea level. In Yunnan.
