What it is like

A herb. It keeps growing from year to year. It grows 9-30 cm high. It is hairy. The stems branch before flowering. The leaves near the base are spoon like. They are 4-18 cm long by 1-5 cm wide. The base is wedge shaped. There are flattened hairs on both surfaces. The leaves on the stems are narrowly oval and do not have leaf stalks. The flowers are small and blue. The end curls up. The fruit are made up of 4 small nuts. These are kidney shaped and 2 mm long.

Where it is found

It is a subtropical plant. It is native to southern China. It grows on grassy slopes in the mountains in Yunnan in China. It grows between 1,950-2,500 m altitude. In Sichuan.
