What it is like

A tree. It has narrow buttresses up to 2 m tall. The tree grows 25 m tall. It has a small dense crown. The bark is dark and brown and rough with cracks along it. The leaves are dark green above and light green underneath. The fruit is a flattened round shape 8 cm long and 1.5 cm wide. They have a brown covering that easily rubs off.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. In Papua New Guinea it has been collected in Madang Province at 120 m above sea level.
