What it is like
A yam. The tubers are vertical and cylinder shaped. The stems twine to the left. The leaves are alternate and simple. The leaf stalk is 3-5 cm long. The leaves are round or heart shaped. They are 5-11 cm long by 4-13 cm wide. The male spikes are 3-12 cm long with 2-6 flowers. The female spikes and 3-14 cm long. The female flowers have triangle to sword shaped bracts and have red dots.

It is a tropical plant. In Yunnan.
