What it is like
An evergreen tree. It grows 20 m tall. The trunk does not have branches for 6 m. The trunk is 35 cm across. The bark is cracked and reddish-brown. The leaves are simple and oval. They are 16-30 cm long by 1-16 cm wide. There are teeth along the edge. The leaf stalk is 5 cm long and does not have wings. The flowers are yellow and 6 cm across. The fruit is round and 2-4 cm across.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in open forests and savannahs up to 850 m above sea level.
